		You're other half sounds like my ex! It made cooking very difficult and challenging for sure.
Did your slow cooker come with a recipe book? Have you tried any of those yet?
I have a crock pot too and I've only made pot roast or stew in it. Stew is the same thing, just cut up your meat and brown it first and thicken when it's ready to serve. 
I'll look up some stuff and prod mother to see what she has too. Then if I find anything good, I'll start a whole slow cooker thread and fill it up for ya!. I'll check the book mine came with too - I think I still have it after all these years! Crap, I think it's nearly 30 years old too!

		OK Sarah I found it! It's dinner time now and I gotta cook but I'll post what I found tomorrow for you. There's quite a bit in there and they mentioned a crock pot cook book too. I'll look that up on Amazon for you too.
