#1
TK, Would you recommend a good olive oil for me to purchase ?...I was looking at them in the supermarket and there are so many diff kinds to choose from, I ended up not getting any but, I would take your advice on what kind to buy.

It doesn't matter all that much as long as you don't buy any store brand.

Get extra virgin for salads and cold food preparation and extra light for frying and cooking.

Extra virgin is tastier but it will burn very easily when cooking where the light although tasty, has a more tolerant consistency to heat.

I purchased my olive oil...Two diff kinds & now I'm investigating vinegars...I am blown away by how many kinds of vinegar there are...I eat a lot of salads so coming up with my own concoction of oil/vinegar is going to be fun...Finally I feel some joy when it comes to preparing something, even something as simple as a salad.

Vinegars depend on the content of the salad. My personal preference is a strong balsamic vinegar.

I'll ask my brother what he does because he makes the best balsamic vinegarette dressing I ever had!

Go check some of the salad dressings in here:

Also, if you want to die and go to heaven with salad, get a fistful of pine nuts, toast them lightly and let cool. Toss them in your salad for the most exquisite flavor!
